Rains Turn Weather Pleasant All Across Country

Karachi (July 25, 2017): Rains every have turned weather pleasant all across the country.

During the last 24 hours rains, both thunder and windy, lashed various areas and parts of Mirpur Khas, Hyderabad, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Sibbi, Quetta, Hazara Division, Gligit Baltistan, and Kashmir. Weather in some areas of the country remained hot and humid.

Weather remains cloudy in most parts of the country.

According to Meteorological Department Diplo received most rains at 40 millimeters. In Sindh Islamkot received 15 mm of rain; Nagarparkar 13 mm; Chacharo 10mm; Mirpur Khas, Chor, and Mithi 4mm; and Dahili 2 mm.

In Punjab, Mangla received 36mm of rain; Gujrat 21; Sialkot (City 8mm, Airport 1mm): Chakwal 2 mm; Jhelum and Gujranwala 1 mm.

In Balochistan province Sibbi received 16 mm of rain while 8 mm of rains was recorded in Barkhan.

Across Khyber Pakhtwankhwa province 20 mm rains lashed Kakul while Gilgit Baltistan and Gpua received 2 mm rain. One mm rain was recorded at Kotli.

Heavy rains with gusty winds in Nowshera city and surroundings in Pakhtwankhwa province resulted in flash floods pushing water level in canals and rivers to threatening level. The heavy rains inundated house due to lack of water drainage facilities.

There is rain foecast for Karachi during the next 24 hours.

Rain-thunderstorm is expected at scattered places in Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, Bahawalpur divisions and isolated places in Hyderabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, D.G. Khan, Hazara, Kohat, Zhob divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir during the next twelve hours.

 According to the synoptic situation, monsoon currents are penetrating into southern and north eastern parts of country. A westerly wave is affecting upper and central parts of the country and likely to persist during next few days.
