WEB DESK: Rallies and demonstrations held across Pakistan on Friday to express solidarity with the Kashmir.
The trade bodies of Islamabad and Rawalpindi also held a joint rally to express solidarity with the people of the Indian Occupied Kashmir. Thousands of people from different walks of life participated in the rally, which started from the Convention Centre and culminated in front of the Foreign Office.
The rally participants urged the international community to play its due role to stop India from killings of innocent and unarmed Kashmiris, and giving them their legitimate right to self-determination.
Members of civil society, political parties, religious and international human rights organisation, groups and monitoring cells urged India to desist from sabotaging peace and actual status of Kashmir.
The rally participants also raised the slogans like ‘Kashmir Banay Ga Pakistan’ and ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ during the protest.
In Karachi, a protest rally was held under the aegis of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Vegetables Traders Association Administration which was led by PTI leader Haleem Adil Sheikh. The rally started from Sabzi Mandi and marched on various roads.
Rallies were also organised in Larkana, Ghotki, Sukkur, Kandh Kot, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, Charsadda and Muzaffarabad to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people.
