KARACHI: Omar Associates won Naya Nazimabad Ramazan Cup title for the second consecutive year after beating State Bank in final by 56 runs at the Naya Stadium.
The participation of international players and showbiz personalities in the 17-day long tournament has grasped the interest of people.
Umar Akmal (55) and Asad Shafiq (39) helped Omar Associates to set a healthy target of 198 runs for State Bank.
While chasing, State Bank only managed to score 148 runs and lost by 56 runs. For Omar Associates, Usman Qadir picked up four crucial wickets.
The cup-holder Omar Associates awarded Rs12 lakh while runner-up State Bank received Rs6 lakh as prize money.
Governor Sindh Imran Ismail has distributed the prizes among the players.
