Islamabad (December 22, 2017): The federal government has decided to appoint parliamentary secretary Rana Afzal State Minister for Finance. Afzal represents NA-82 constituency at the National Assembly.
The notification of Afzal’s appointment is expected to be issued today.
Sources informed that the decision to appoint Afzal as State Minister Finance was made during Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s meeting with ousted counterpart Nawaz Sharif yesterday.
It may be mentioned here that Finance Ministry Ishaq Dar is living in Britain for many weeks and is reportedly undergoing medical treatment. He had sent application of leave to the prime minister which was accepted.
