LAHORE: Punjab government has concluded successful dialogues with Christian leader and assured to provide fool-proof security arrangements for churches. Former law minister Rana Sanaullah said that Rangers officials will be deployed in Youhanabad area till last ceremonies of the victims lost their lives in Youhanabad church blast.
Former law minister Rana Sanaullah along with provincial minister for minorities affairs Tahir Khalil Sindhu arrived Youhanabad but protestors stopped their vehicle and chanted slogans against the government. Sanaullah was present in Youhanabad for at least nine hours to hold dialogues with Christian leaders.
Sanaullah said that additional security contingents will be deployed in Christian-dominated areas of the city while fool-proof security measures will be made for churches. Punjab government spokesperson Zaeem Qadri ensured to remove all reservations of Christian community. He said that Christian community aimed to get rid of terrorism. He appealed citizens not demolish public and private assets during the protests. He claimed that some miscreants were involved in vandalising assets during the protests.
Bishop of Lahore Irfan Jameel condemned violence in protests and asked demonstration to become peaceful. He asked protestors to avoid vandalising as peaceful protests were right of every citizen.
