TEHRAN: Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad on Wednesday has emphasized the need to strengthen the two-way cooperation between Pakistan and Iran in the rail sector.
“Iran and Pakistan should cooperate in building railway links between Taftan and Quetta and Chahbahar and Gwadar,” he said while talking to Islamic Republic News Agency during his visit to Iran.
The Minister said further said Pakistan has requested the Iranian authorities to invest in improving Zahidan, Taftan railways.
Rasheed is currently on a three-day official visit of Iran.
During his stay, the Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed would convey a special message of Prime Minister Imran Khan and a message of President Arif Alvi to the Iranian president Hassan Rouhani.
