KARACHI: MQM leader Rauf Siddiqui, Waseem Akhtar and Pak Sar Zameen party President Anees Qaimkhani have been arrested from anti-terrorism court, while the police shifted them to Central Jail Karachi.
Anti Terrorism Court of Karachi has released its preserved verdict in Dr. Asim case, while the interim bail of all named accused, involved in Dr. Asim case, have been suspended, after which police arrested Waseem Akhtar, Rauf Siddiqui and Anees Qaimkhani followed by receiving arrest orders from court; hence PPP leader Abdul Qadir Patel succeeded to escape from court room.
Meanwhile, police raided Abdul Qadir Patel’s house in Boat Basin and his office at PNS Shifa, but failed to arrest him, while Interior Ministry added Patel’s name in ECL.
Meanwhile, sources claimed that Abdul Qadir Patel has announced to surrender by himself in Boat Basin police station.
It must be pertinent to recall that all detained leters had submitted petition for bail before arrest, which the court rejected, releasing arrest orders of all accused.
