Ready For War, Indian Army Chief

New Delhi(September 26, 2018): Giving implausible statements regarding ‘waging war’ or launching ‘surgical strike’ against South Asian giant Pakistan, have become a norm for Indian Chief of Army Staff Bipin Rawat.

In an interview with an Indian media outlet, it appears as if Pakistan has entirely taken over General Bipin’s mind since he has made another threatening remark merely in a week’s time, saying “as soon as we get our government’s approval, we will start the war.”

India’s military head gave a very confusing statement, reflecting his vague thought process, where on one hand he said to be waiting for government’s permission to start a war, and on the other, the General claimed to have already been given a ‘task of war’.

A few days back, speaking to an Indian TV channel, the army chief said India needs to launch another surgical strike against terrorists.

“As long as the Pakistan government can’t take measures, the situation at the border won’t improve,” General Rawat said.

Pakistan Army’s spokesman Major General Asif Ghafoor on Saturday responded to Bipin Rawat’s threatening statement, saying that the country’s soldiers are ready to give a befitting reply to Indian misadventures.

“Pakistan is a nuclear-armed country and is ready to respond to Indian misadventures,” Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor said in a statement.

The DG ISPR said that Pakistan has made it clear that it wants talks and peace in the region but it is India which runs away from talks each time. Terming the Indian COAS’ statement “irresponsible”, Asif Ghafoor said that his statement is aimed at sabotaging Pakistan’s efforts for peace in the region.
