ISLAMABAD: Secretary of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) Azmat Chaudhry stand divided from the president of the association as he has refused to join the protest planned by the SCBA on June 14 when the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) is scheduled to take up the references against few of the judges of the top court.
Talking to media in Lahore Press Club (LPC) he said that this was a personal decision of the president of the SCBA Amanullah Kanrani to launch a protest against the SJC’s proceedings on June 14.
He said that the entire country is going through the process of accountability and all the references which are pending in the SJC should be concluded immediately.
Azmat Chaudhry also condemned the remarks of the president SCBA on a TV interview and said that those were his personal remarks not of the entire bar.
