LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Thursday has removed the objection levelled by the office of the registrar on the PPP senior leader Qamar Zaman Kaira seeking a meeting with party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, who is in jail, and ordered to schedule plea for hearing.
The hearing conducted over the PPP senior leader’s petition seeking a meeting with Asif Ali Zardari as petitioner told the court that former president Asif Ali Zardari is ill and jailed and he intended to meet him but jail administration is not giving permission.
The lawyer of the petitioner told the court that registrar office has raised the objection on scheduling request on principle seat, therefore, his client should be allowed to meet Zardari.
On which, the court has scraped the objections raised by the registrar office and ordered the scheduling of the case.
