RAWALPINDI: Accountability Court (AC) Rawalpindi has indicted ex-premier Raja Pervez Ashraf directly in the rental power reference.
The AC Rawalpindi heard the Nandi Pur Power project case while the senior leader of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and former premier Raja Pervez Ashraf appeared before the court wherein the court indicted him directly in Reshman and Gulf power project.
Raja Pervez Ashraf denied any wrongdoing on which the court has summoned him on August 7 again.
Talking to media after hearing the ex-premier said that he always respected the judiciary and he will not say anything on the matter.
It is pertinent to mention here that with the collusion of the ministers of the PPP era of 2008 to-2013 delaying the project of the Nandi Pur Power project for two years incurred a loss of Rs 27 billion.
The Nandi Pur Power project started in October 2008 and it had to be completed on April 16, 2011, but it did not while shipment for the project started appearing but foreign loans could not be protected.
