Rescue Operation in Collapsed Three-Story Building in Sukkur Concluded

SUKKUR: The rescue operation in a three-story building, which was caved in three days earlier in Sukkur,  has been completed as nine dead bodies retrieved and sixteen injured rescued during the operation.

According to rescue sources, the PDMA team and army contingence have taken part in the rescue operation as army rescue team has retrieved a baby alive from the debris of the collapsed building after 22 hours.

“Nine Dead bodies, 16 injured dug out from the debris while two of the injured are in a critical situation and shifted to Larkana hospital,” said rescue officials adding that the army contingency and teams of PDMA have been returned after the completion of the operation while the district administration is busy to remove the debris.

The funeral prayer of the six of the nine dead has been offered as a large number of people including the personnel of army and Rangers attended the prayers.
