Shuffle in Sindh Cabinet: Siyal appointed as Home Minister again

Karachi (May 22, 2017): Sindh Chief Minister on Tuesday gave additional portfolios to three provincial Ministers with Sohail Anwar Siyal being re-appointed as Home Minister, who was removed last year after a controversy with Rangers over arrest of some of his aides.  According to the details, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has re-allocated additional portfolios to three provincial ministers with immediate effect. The Sindh Government has issued a notification regarding shuffling of notification and additional portfolios assigned to cabinet members.

According to a notification issued by Services General Administration and Coordination Department (Cabinet Section) here Tuesday, Sohail Anwar Siyal has been re-allocated additional portfolio of Sindh Home Minister along with Agriculture, Supply and Princes, and Mines and Minerals.

Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has been made Minister for Information. He will also see Transport and Human Resources.

The Home Department portfolio was given to Sohail Anwar Siyal, Minister for Agriculture and Supply and Prices. Anwar will retain the portfolios he was holding before the new assignment.

Sindh Transport Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah was given the portfolio of Information Department.

Health Minister Dr Sikander Mendhro has been assigned the Religious Affairs and Zakat and Ushr Departments. Dr Mendhro will continue to head the Health Department as well.
