ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said the peaceful resolution of Kashmir dispute is guarantee of peace in the region, saying that the Kashmir issue is main hindrance in establishing cordial relations between Pakistan and India.
The Prime Minister stated this during a meeting with National Security Adviser of United Kingdom Sir Mark Lyall Grant, who called on him in Islamabad on Monday.
Nawaz Sharif said that Pakistan was a peaceful country and was following the policy of peaceful neighborhood. He said that Kashmir issue must be resolved according to the UN resolutions.
The Prime Minister said that international community must take notice of worst human rights’ violations in Occupied Kashmir by India forces.
He said Pakistan was peace loving country and pursues the policy of maintaining friendly relationships with all its neighbours.
The British National Security Advisor appreciated the Prime Minister’s policy of reaching out to the neighbour countries for establishing cordial relationships with them. He said that UK encouraged and supported Pakistan’s efforts for peaceful cooperation with neighbouring countries.
He also acknowledged and appreciated the sacrifices rendered by Pakistan security forces in war against terrorism.
