ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam (F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that he has fulfilled his responsibility after bringing government, MQM for table talks, adding that the issue is not of Karachi only, but of Baluchistan, while there is a contradiction in Punjab Government and Federation stance over raids on Madrassas.
Addressing a press conference after Party Central Executive Committee meeting in JUI-F Secretariate, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that his job was to bring government and MQM for table talks, while agreement was the job of both sides. He said that problem was not only of Karachi, but also of Baluchistan. He expressed reservations over crackdown against Madrasas and scholars in Punjab, saying that more than 800 Madrasas have been raided, while there was a contradiction in Punjab Government and Interior Minister statements.
He said that a trend has begun to level corruption allegations on politicians after Pervez Musharraf era. He also demanded United Nations to take notice of aggression and violation of Pakistani Border areas by Indian Forces.
