Retired Col. of Pakistan Army goes missing in Nepal

LAHORE: A retired colonel of Pakistan Army Muhammad Habib Zubair is missing in Nepal since April 6, 2017.

According to sources, Zubair retired from Pakistan Army in 2014. After retirement, he started job in a private company in Faisalabad. In the meantime, he uploaded his CV on LinkedIn and UN website for jobs.

A month ago, someone from UK named as Mr Thomsan contacted Zubair over phone and asked him to contact a website.

Later on, he was offered job in the company as Vice President and Zonal Director on lucrative salary of $8500 and $3500 respectively. He was asked to come to Katmandu to sign the service contract and was sent business ticket of Oman Air.

Habib Zubair went to Oman on April 5 in a Oman Air flight WY-344. In Oman, he was received by a man named Javed Ansari. Ansari gave Zubair a telephone number of Katmandu, asking him to contact on the number after reaching there.

Col.  Habib Zubair left for Khatmandu next day and after reaching Katmandu and went to Lumbini area the same day. On April 6, Habib Zubair contacted his family and informed about his arrival in Lumbini safely. Since then, Habib Zuabir has not contacted his family and efforts of his family members to reach out him have failed.

Sources said that Col. Zuabir went missing from Lumbini area, which is just five kilometers away from Indian borders. All travels and other necessary documents of Habib Zubair have been given to Embassy of Nepal.
