Admin Affairs Disrupt NICVD As Financial Crisis Hit Facility

KARACHI: National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) has fallen prey to severe financial crisis which has made it troublesome for the facility’s administrative affairs to function with smoothness.

NICVD Executive Director Nadeem Qamar has reportedly written a letter to Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, apprising him on the crisis which has occurred due to the shortage of funds.

The provincial minister was enlightened that eight satellite centres including the Central hospital were not being supplied with medicines and medical gadgets as contractors have denied their provision.

He was briefed that no funds have been issued by the government for Lyari, Nawabshah, Khairpur, and Mithi centres in the hospital since their establishment.
