ISLAMABAD: A rifle was recovered by a protocol officer of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) embassy at New Islamabad Airport here on Saturday.
According to sources, the rifle was hidden in a rolled carpet. The security staff asked to submit license of the recovered weapon which the protocol officer was failed to provide. To which, the security officials have taken the rifle into their custody.
The protocol officer who is identified as Muhammad Afzal came to see off an official of the UAE embassy named as Rashed Sannan.
