Iraqis reported seeing hailstones the size of golf balls raining down on the Middle East. The Iraq government had to declare a state of emergency in the wake of the extreme weather event.

The incredible spectacle, which looks like moving sand, is actually comprised of several blocks of ice moving at a rapid pace through the desert.
