Gujranawala (July 12, 2017): Six people including a mother, daughter, and son and another mother and her daughter and son died and another three were injured in two separate rain-related roof-collapse incidents here.
A mother, daughter, and son died while another son and a daughter were injured when the roof of dilapidated house caved near Nawab Chowk here.
The dead are identified as 45-year-old Rehana, 14-year-old Abdullah, and 10-year-old Mehak. The deceased mother’s other two children- 22-year-old Komal and her brother were taken to the hospital.
According to Rescue sources the roof of the house was in extremely bad condition after the heavy rains yesterday.
In another roof-collapse incident that occurred in Jhangi area killed a mother, daughter and son. Another daughter of the deceased woman was also injured.
It may be mentioned here that this was the second roof collapse incident here after the heavy rains. In the earlier incident three people were killed and one was injured.
