Rulers, bureaucracy have no interest in legislation: Fazl

Amir Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Mualana Fazlur Rehman on Sunday said that the rulers and bureaucracy had no interest in legislation.

He added that those raising voices for FATA people including JI chief Sirajul Haq have backed out. Addressing a convention at JUI-F’s central secretariat, the JUI-F chief said that propaganda was being made against them regarding their stance on FATA.

He added that any decision about the future of FATA should be made by the people of the area.

He added that the Prime Minister constituted a political committee in the name of FATA Reforms Committee. He added that JUI-F had reservation on Fata Reform Committee.

He said that Cabinet had prepared a summary regarding FATA. As per the summary, the tribal people would be brought in the political mainstream instead of merging it with KP.
