Sadfdar Condemns Firing at Ijazul Ahsan’s Residence

Islamabad(April 16, 2018): Son in Law of the Ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif  Captain retired Muhammad Safdar said on Monday that firing at justice Ijazul Ahsan’s house is a cheap tactic.

Talking to the newsmen outside the accountability court, he said that all the courts and judges are responsibility of the state.

“We cannot fire on the constitution. Rather we are against those people who tear it down,” he asserted. We are with constitution makers and translators, safdar added.

Earlier, Initial inquiry reported submitted with Chief Justice of Pakistan in firing incident over Supreme Court Judge’s, Ijazul Ahsan house. Final report will be prepared today after PFS’s report.

According to the police, firing incident was reported by Pakistan Rangers Personnel, Abdul Razaq at 10.45am. Bullet was fired at the main gate of Justice Ijazul Ahsasn house. Punjab Forensic Agency will present its report today. initial report reveals that shot was fired from a long distance.

Earlier, two separate firing incidents were reported at the residence of Supreme Court Justice Ijazul Ahsan on Sunday.

A statement by the apex court revealed that the judge’s Model Town residence was struck by bullets first late last night and then again early morning of Sunday.

The judge’s house is located very close to the residence of the Punjab chief minister and his son MNA Hamza Shehbaz, where there is visible police presence throughout the day.

Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar arrived at the residence of his fellow judge after the incident and is overseeing the situation, the statement by the apex court added.
