KARACHI: Governor Sindn Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui was laid to rest in Gizri Graveyard.
Earlier his funeral prayers was offered at Polo Ground, which was led by Mufti Taqi Usmani
Saeed-uz-Zaman, a former chief justice of Pakistan, died on Wednesday at a private hospital in Karachi after suffering from chest complications for last many months.
Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah, former chief ministers Qaim Ali Shah and Ghous Ali Shah, Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar, chief secretary Sindh Rizwan Memon, MQM Mahfooz Yar Khan, leader of Pak Sarzameen party Hafeezuddin, leader of PTI Arif Alvi, and a large number of people from all walks of life including the legal fraternity were present.
Justice (r) Saeed-uz-Zaman had taken the oath of Sindh Governor on November 11 last year but got ill the same day after which he was shifted to the hospital.
Later he was discharged from the hospital.
