KARACHI: The five men convicted by a military court for their involvement in Safoora Goth carnage have challenged their conviction in Sindh High Court.
The court issued notices to federal government and other respondents on the appeal of five men sentenced to death by military court. Those who challenged the death sentences include Saad Aziz, Azhar Ishrat, Tahir Minhas, Nasir and Asadur Rehamna.
The death sentences handed down to the convict by the military court has already been confirmed by Army Chief General Qamar Bajwa.
The convicts were involved in planning and execution of attack on members of Ismaili Community at Safoora Chowrangi in Karachi on May 13, 2015, wherein 46 persons were killed.
