LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday said that power generation from coal-fired power plant in Sahiwal will start soon, which has the capacity to produce 320 MW electricity.
Talking to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) delegation, the CM said that all-out efforts were being made to complete energy projects. He said that work on energy projects under China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has been speed up.
He said that Sahiwal Coal Power Plant will be completed before its scheduled time of completion, adding that project of this nature required four to five years for completion.
The Punjab CM claimed that no where in the world work on such pace was carried out on power project as was being done at Sahiwal project.
Shahbaz Sharif said that quality of work and pace of construction of Sahiwal project was exemplary.
