Sahiwal Power Project Milestone to end Power Crisis: Sana

Lahore (May 25, 2017): Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah on Thursday said that Sahiwal Coal Power project, country’s first ever super critical coal-fired plant, will be a milestone in efforts to overcome power crisis.

Talking to reporters at Punjab Assembly, the minister said that the Sahiwal project would be inaugurated by the Prime Minister today.

He added that the government would add 5000 megawatts power in national grid by December this year.

He added that the darkness of load shedding would end next year forever.  He added that the power to be generated from Sahiwal and other projects would be for whole Pakistan not just for Punjab.

Hitting political opponents the minister said that it was unfortunate that those people were criticizing on the government who did not even produce a single during their tenure.

The provincial law minister also seconded the objections raised on two members of the Panama JIT by Prime Minister’s son Hussain Nawaz, saying that the objections were logical and justified.
