Sattar Gives 48-Hour Ultimatum For Power, Water

Karachi (April 22, 2018): Muttahida Qaumi Movement- Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Farooq Sattar on Sunday  gave a 48-hour ultimatum to the federal and provincial governments to resolve the issue of acute water shortage and prolonged power outages in the metropolis Karachi.

While addressing a protest demonstration outside Karachi Press Club, Farooq Sattar said that they will stage protest rallies outside the offices of K-Electric, Karachi Water and Sewerage Board and the Chief Minister House.He said Karachiites were compelled to protests for water and electricity despite contributing 70% of federal tax revenue. He demanded of the federal government to handover the control of K-Electric and water board to the people of Karachi. Sattar said Karachiites nothing to do with the conflict between K-Electric and SSGC.
