Saudi Aircraft Escapes Accident While Landing At Isb Airport

Islamabad (November 16, 2018): An aircraft of Saudi airline narrowly escaped accident, when one of its tyres burst during landing at New Islamabad Airport, airport officials said.

Flight SV-3720 coming from Jeddah landed at Islamabad airport when one of its tyres burst, causing the aircraft to tilt towards its side after landing.All passengers aboard the plane remained safe, airport sources said. The aircraft was barred from take off until repairing.

A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) aircraft skidded off the runway at Panjgur Airport last Saturday.

The flight, PK-517, from Karachi skid off the runway as soon as it touched ground at Panjgur airport. The pilot lost control of the aircraft and it came to a halt on the soft ground as one of the tyres of the aircraft burst.

Passengers were shifted to the terminal safely and no one was hurt in the incident.It was not immediately known whether the operations at the airport were suspended following the incident or the plane was pulled back on the runway.

Panjgur Airport is a domestic and partially International airport, located in Balochistan province in Pakistan’s southwest.
