RIYADH: At least 35 foreigners were killed and four others injured when a bus crashed with another heavy vehicle in the holy city of Madinah, Saudi media reported on Thursday.
The accident happened on Hijra road, 170 km from Madinah, near the village of Al Akhal around 7pm when the privately chartered bus carrying 39 passengers collided with a loader.
Those involved were Arab and Asian pilgrims, according to the media report.
The injured have been transferred to Al Hamna Hospital while authorities have launched an investigation.
