SBP Bans Sale Of Rs40,000 Prize Bonds

KARACHI: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has imposed a ban on the sale of prize bonds of Rs40,000, AbbTakk News reported on Tuesday.

A notification issued by SBP in this regard stated that prize bonds of Rs40,000 will not be accepted by the bank after 31st March 2020.

It stated that special saving certificates can be bought in place of the banned bonds.

“Balloting for bare bonds of Rs40,000 will not take place any more. Rs40 thousand bare bonds can be exchanged with premium pize bonds”, the notification read.
