Supreme Court (SC) on Monday (today) has issued notices of calling for an explanation to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Imran Khan and Jehangir Khan Tareen over petition of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hanif Abbassi while the court rejected request hearing the petition with the panamagate case.
A division bench headed by Chief Justice (CJ) Anwer Zaheer Jamali heard the petition against the PTI chief Imran Khan and it’s leader Jehangir Khan Tareen regarding the probe of panama papers.
Hanif Abbassi counsel Akram Shiekh argued that Imran Khan and Jehangir Tareen names also have appeared in the Panama papers while the PTI is the party who used to receive foreign funds.
Akram Sheikh contended that the case be heard with the panamagate case while the court rejected the argument and has sought reply from Imran Khan and Jehangir Tareen on Nov 15.
