Islamabad (September 19, 2017): A petition was filed in Supreme Court seeking the apex court to set aside the five-member decision to disqualify former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
A citizen Shahid Orakzai has moved to the court.

The petitioner submitted that the verdict disqualifying Nawaz had disturbed the federation system.
He added that the larger bench decision suspended about 40 articles of the constitution.
Orakzai submitted that it was the responsibility of the SC judge to protect and preserve the federal structure of the constitution.
He argued that in the garb of fundamental right the July 28, 2017 verdict had taken apart the federation system.
He pleaded the court o immediacy seize operation of disqualification decision.The petitioner further pleaded the court to constitute a seven-member larger bench to review the July 28 decision.
