ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan Monday raised questions on arrests made by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) after indictment of the accused in the case.
A larger bench of the SC headed by Justice Umar Atta Bandial heard the petition filed by the accused Nadeem Qadir Khokhar.
The defense counsel said that his client is a Mukhtiarkar and the AC has indicted him and his client is appearing before the court.
During the hearing, Justice Munib Akhtar asked to the NAB counsel that why NAB wants arrest of the accused despite the fact that he is facing the trial. Does NAB wants to make arrests only because it has the authority to do so, court remarked.
Supreme Court also granted interim bail to Nadeem Qadir Khokhar, who is an accused in a corruption case.
