Islamabad (February 14, 2018): The Supreme Court of Pakistan has summoned the record of the government employees having dual nationality within 15 days and directed for strict action against those who fail to implement the orders.
As per details, a three member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar conducted the hearing into the suo moto notice over dual nationality case.

The apex court was informed by secretary establishment that they had summoned the details from all institutions on the court order. It was told that two provinces had submitted the report while the others were in line to submit the report. He requested for more time to be granted for the data to be collected.
The CJP warned that if reports are not submitted within a week then contempt of court notices would be issued to the concerned officials.Justice Saqib Nisar remarked that the government officials are sending their children abroad and when they are caught in any wrongdoings, they also go abroad.
H warned of strict action if court orders are not implemented. The court also issued notices to all chief secretaries, service administrators of the concerned institutions and secretaries of the federal ministries and summoned report from them.The CJP said that they would reward those who would give tip-off for those having dual nationality. He also said that the BPS-22 officers could also have dual nationality.
The court later adjourned the hearing till March 1.
