ISLAMABAD: A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Asif Khosa on Tuesday (today) will hear the plea filed by former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on medical grounds seeking bail in Al-Azizia steel mills reference in which he was imprisoned for seven years.
A circular has also been issued regarding security measures at the Supreme Court.
Supreme Court of Pakistan, in its issued notification, said that special security passes will be handed to certain individuals and only those will be allowed inside the court due to limited seats in the Court No. I where the hearing will take place.
“Applicant, lawyers, parties and journalists will be allowed inside the court. Those citizens who seek to witness the hearing shall contact SP security Supreme Court”, the notification read.
Moreover, the parties have been issued notices to appear before the court for hearing on the bail plea.
Nawaz is undergoing seven-year imprisonment in the Al-Azizia Mills corruption case.
