Lahore (July 27, 2017): Operation against terrorists is being intensified across Punjab province.
According to details, 15 suspects were arrested during search operation in various areas of provincial capital Lahore, while two terrorists of a banned outfit were arrested by Counter Terrorism Department during action taken in Gujranwala. Armed and explosives were recovered from the possession of arrested terrorists.

Punjab Rangers along with Police and intelligence agencies have intensified operations against terrorists in the province. According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) during operations conducted in various areas of Lahore 21 suspects, including Tehrik-e-Taliban Swat terrorist, unregistered Afghan residents and a kidnapper gang were arrested. The operations have further been intensified on the directions of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, ISPR added.Meanwhile, three robbers were killed during shootout with police in Ferozeabad area of Karachi.
A joint search of police and Rangers is underway in Abidabad area within the limits of Ittehad Town police station. Five police mobiles, 30 personnel, and a large contingent of Rangers are taking part in the search operation monitored by officers of the Rangers and the police.
Various types of arms including six TT pistols, one 9mm revolver, and two repeaters were recovered from the arrested suspects. Verification of the recovered arms is underway.
Fifty-one suspects have been arrested. Meanwhile a robber was killed and an accomplice was injured in a shootout with police in Nazimabad No. 2 area of Karachi while robbing the people.
