Second Army Checkpost Attacked Within 24 Hrs, One Soldier Martyred

RAWALPINDI: A group of terrorists raided Makki Garh Post in North Waziristan on Monday in which one soldier of Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom during the exchange of fires, according to Inter–Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The military wing of Pakistan Army stated that the armed troops repulsed effectively to the terrorist attack targetted at Makki Garh Post of Shawal Valley.

On the other hand, during patrolling in Boya area where the Army post was attacked yesterday, five dead bodies with bullet wounds have been found from a nullah approximately 1.5 Kilometres away from Khar Kamar post.

As per the latest report, the identification process of dead bodies is underway.

It is the second attack that has taken place on an Army post within the last 24 hours after yesterday’s attack of a mob led by PTM leaders Ali Wazir and Mohsin Dawar at a check post near Miran Shah area of the North Waziristan.

As a result, five army personnel were injured. However, Army in defence responded and at least three protesters were killed and 10 others injured.

Ali Wazir and eight other attackers were arrested whereas, the other PTM leader Mohsin Dawar managed to flee from the scene.
