Security beefed up at shrines across the country after blast in Sehwan

ISLAMABAD: Security beefed up at shrines across the country after the suicide blast at the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sehwan.

Strict checking is being conducted at the entrances and exits of Lahore city. While security beefed up at the shrines of Data Ganj Bakhsh, Darbar Bibi Paak Daaman, Shah Jamal and Mian Mir. Police launched search operations in different parts of Lahore and verifying people’s details by biometric devices.

In Karachi, security increased at the shrine of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi and other shrines.

On the other hand, shrines of Shah Shams Sabzwari Tabrez, Bahauddin Zakariya and Shah Rukn-e-Alam closed for devotees due to security concerns in Multan. Security increased at the shrines in the city. Multan CPO directed all DSPs and SHOs to ensure the security of all shrines and Dargahs.
