WEB DESK: Tomorrow’s Security Council meeting will consider the intensity of Taliban attacks in Afghanistan and the occupation of several districts by militants.
The Security Council will be chaired by India and chaired by TS Trimurti, India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
The Afghan government two days ago called on the Security Council to convene an emergency meeting on Afghanistan.
In a recent statement, the Security Council expressed “grave concern” over the growing number of Taliban attacks in Afghanistan. The statement said the Security Council called for an immediate end to violence in Afghanistan.
