Karachi (March 24, 2018): Thousands of security personnel have been deployed as Karachi hosts the final of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Sunday ─ its biggest cricket match in nine years, after a spate of attacks drove away foreign teams.
Inside the National Stadium, Rangers personnel will be responsible for security, whereas the security responsibilities outside the stadium, police and other law enforcement authorities will be performing their jobs.

According to the report unveiled by DIG Traffic Imran Yaqoob Minhas, the 8,500 police personnel will be performing their duties around the stadium for the match.
A total of 1,600 traffic police officers will be deployed across the metropolis to assist commuters in avoiding traffic jams and other hurdles.The DIG West Zulfiqar Ali Larik said that, the South Zone police will be deployed for the security of the hotel where the players will be staying.
So, if you want to enjoy the final of PSL that is going to be played in between the defending Champion Peshawar Zalmi and the winner of first edition of the PSL Islamabad United, then follow the given instructions to avoid any panicking situation.
ICC Security Team Arrives
The security team of International Cricket Council (ICC) has reached in National Stadium to review the security arrangements while ICC security consultant Reg Dickason was also accompanied the team.Stringent security Arrangements
Addressing press conference regarding National Stadium security for final match, Commandant Special Security Unit (SSU) Mqsood Memon said that 8000 police personnel and 806 commandoes of SSU will be deployed on security of the stadium.
He further elaborated that the SSU personnel will also patrolling around the stadium while the vehicles coming to stadium will be checked in nine places.
