Senate Committee to Get Briefing from Sec Defence, IGs

ISLAMABAD: The Senate’s standing committee for the interior has decided to get a briefing from NACTA, IGs, Home Secretaries and Defence Secretary on the country’s overall security situation.

During the committee meeting,  Inspector General of Frontier Corps(IGFC) told the meeting that the budget allocation was 59 per cent less than their demands that are hampering the forces operation and forces are facing hurdles to buying vehicles and other equipment.

IG FC mentioned that forces require funds to erect wires along the border as the privileges and perks of the personnel are already low as compare to other forces.

The commandant FC Balochistan told the committee that the RAW and NDS are involved in terrorism in the province while the traitors, who helped these enemy organizations, have been escaped on mountains.

He apprised the meeting that the wire has been erected about 215 km along the Iran border.

The committee members expressed concerns over the allocation of low budge to FC.
