Senate Elections: PPP wins from Islamabad, two seats from Sindh, One from Balochistan

Karachi: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidate on a senate seat from capital Islamabad Yousuf Raza Gillani has won getting 202 votes.

The (PPP) have won both the seats of Sindh Assembly in a bye election on senate seats.

Sindh

Jam Saif Ullah has won by getting 58 votes while Aslam Abro became senator by securing 57 votes.

Out of 162 members, 124 members cast their votes for the senate seats. The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) 116 MPs cast their votes, Sunni Ittehad Council 8 MPAs cast their votes.

The Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) and Jamat-e-Islami didn’t participate in the senate elections.

Balochistan

PPP, PML-N and JUI-F have won each senate seat on three general seats of Balochistan.

The PPP candidate Abdul Qudoos Bazenjo won the senate seat by taking 23 votes. Similarly the PML-N candidate Mir Dostieen Domki declared winner by getting 17 votes.

Moreover, JUIF candidate Abdul Shakoor declared victorious by taking 16 votes.
