Islamabad (December 11, 2017): Senate has urged United States to revisit its decision of recognizing occupied Jerusalem as Israeli capital.
Taking part in discussion on US President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, members of the House asked the Muslim countries to suspend all arms deals they have signed with the United States.
Some members equated Trump’s move as the biggest terror act in the Middle Eastern region.
The House suspended today’s business to express solidarity with the people of Palestine by holding discussion on the issue.
On Wednesday, Trump declared that the US recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and announced the relocation of the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem — turning his back on decades of American and international diplomacy.
