The matter of Qandeel Baluch and Mufti Abdul Qavi was strongly criticized in Senate Standing Committee for Regional Affairs meeting, while Maulana Ahmedullah also proposed to add Qandeel Baluch along with Mufti Abdul Qavi in Roet-e-Hilal Committee.
Senate Standing Committee meeting for Regional Affairs was chaired by Hafiz Hamdullah, during which Hafiz Hamdullah said that Roet-e-Hilal Committee was formed under a resolution in 1973, which has no legal value and in such condition who will accept committee decisions.
During the meeting, Committee Chairman Maulana Hamdullah brought attention to pictures of Qandeel Baluch and Mufti Abdul Qavi, which were released on facebook, saying that Mufti Abdul Qavi has seen Eid moon before Eid. Qandeel Baluch took photo of Abdul Qavi while she was putting Mufti’s cap on her head. If such kind of person is being kept in Roet-e-Hilal Committee, then Qandeel Baluch must also be added to Roet-e-Hilal Committee.
