Islamabad (August 17, 2017): Ousted PML-N leader Senator Nehal Hashmi was hospitalized in Pakistan Institute of Medical Science (Pims) after heart problems.
Hashmi is scheduled to appear before the Supreme Court in contempt of court case on August 21, 2017.
Hashmi was admitted in Pims cardiac centre and a procedure was carried out to insert three stents to remove blockage from arteries.
Senator Hashmi, in his speech in May, had threatened those probing Panamagate of dire consequences. The video was widely circulated on social media.
Following the speech, the party leadership removed him from the office of PML-N Sindh general secretary and also directed him to resign from his Senate seat.
However, he refused to comply with the orders to resign from Senate.
