KARACHI: Senior journalists Masoom Usmani passed away here. He was 68.
According to family sources, Usmani died after suffering heart attack on Monday night.
His funeral prayer will be offered at Bait-ul-Salam Mosque in DHA Phase-IV after Asr prayer. He will be buried in a local graveyard. He left behind his wife, two sons and a daughter to mourn his death.
Usmani worked on senior positions in different media organisations indulging PTV, Aaj News and Geo News for a long period. His professional carrier spanned over a period of 35 long years. He also remained associated with Apna TV Network for a brief period.
Currently, he was in Geo News as member of its Editorial Board. He was one of its founding member. Usmani sahib was a thorough professional and good human being.
