Several Injured as Indian Troops Use Brute Force on Protesters in IOK

SRI NAGAR: Several people were injured in occupied Kashmir when Indian troops and police used brute force on protesters in Baramulla, Kupwara and Bandipora districts on Friday.

Indian police and troops fired pellets and teargas shells on protesters in Sopore, Bomai, Palhalan, Hampora, Baigpora, Kralagun, Hajin, Nadi Khai, Lankarshipora, Sadarkote, Pazalpora, Chack Reshipora, Baharabad and other areas of the districts, injuring several of them including a 12th class student, Yasin Ahmad Butt.

The Indian troops also barged into the houses and ransacked the household goods in Hajin and Hampora Langate areas. The authorities suspended internet services in the south Kashmir districts.

Indian police during house raids also arrested over a dozen youth in Kishtwar district.

On the other hand, the personnel of India’s Border Security Force thrashed several people in Arai Malkan Mandi in Poonch district.

Meanwhile, at least ten Indian policemen were seriously injured after the vehicle in which they were traveling met with an accident at Trekpora in Rafiabad area of Baramulla district.
