ISLAMABAD: Shab-e-Barat will be observed across the country today (Saturday) with full religious fervour.
Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) narrated in a Hadees that the on the night of Shab-e-Barat Allah Almighty come on the skies and say that is there anyone within my followers to seek forgiveness so I can forgive his/her sins. It is the night when Allah Almighty forgives the sins of everyone and decides the fate of his followers for the coming years. This night is also called Bara’a Night, Mid-Sha’ban and Laylat al-Bara’at.
Special prayers have been arranged in the mosques across the country to seek blessings and forgiveness of sins from the Almighty Allah.
Muslims across the country will gather to pray and seek forgiveness in the mosques across the country and various seminars will also be conducted to highlight the importance of this blessed night.
Notable religious scholars will deliver sermons and speeches to highlight the importance of this important and holy night of the Islamic calendar.
According to Islamic believes the significant distinction of this night, is that it falls on 15th Sha’aban in which Allah Almighty decided the fate of humans.
People gather at mosques after Isha prayer and offers night-long special prayers to seek forgiveness from their lord. Special functions of Naat and Hamd are also arranged on this auspicious occasion.
