Actress Shabana Azmi Suffering From Swine Flu

MUMBAI: Senior actress Shabana Azmi has been diagnosed with swine flu and has been shifted to a renowned hospital in Mumbai.

Shabana Azmi had been visiting her family doctor for severe cough and cold, it was during this time that the swine flu was detected and she was immediately put on treatment.

The actress, on the other hand, is taking this positively. She has decided to make the best use of this time on her hand.

She said, she seldom gets time for rest or any time to herself, hence this spare time will be used by her for self-introspection. She also said that this sudden and compulsory bedrest will be her much-needed break from her hectic schedule.

Even in her illness, her sarcasm is at par, as she added that, ‘Rarely, do I get a chance to lie back and introspect. This is an enforced break for me, I have not been in contact with any swine whatsoever. But I am in hospital recovering fast,” said Shabana.

However, she is using the time for productive pursuits.

Shabana Azmi had recently attended Jaipur Literature Festival.

The actress also shared a tweet screenshot of her daughter Zoya Akhtar’s film Gully Boy being appreciated by Cameron Bailey at Berlin International Film Festival.

She wrote on Instagram,

”Cameron Bailey is a Canadian film critic and festival programmer. He is the artistic director and co-head of the Toronto International Film Festival.”

Shabana Azmi has worked in the films like Ankur, Masoom, Arth, Neerja, Makdee, Amar Akbar Anthony among others.

She was last seen on big screens in the film The Big Prince (2017).
