Okara (September 02, 2018): Pakistan Peoples Party senior leader Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah on Sunday visited the house of Sajjadul Hasan, his party leader, and condoles with him over his brother’s sad demise.
While talking to journalists outside his house, Khursheed Shah said that they will support every good deed of the PTI government. He was of the view that Maulana Fazlur Rehman would withdraw in favour of PPP’s presidential candidate Aitzaz Ahsan. Khursheed Shah expressed concerns over the closure of Utility Stores. He also criticized the prevailing government over change in local government system and said that billion of rupees will be spent on the reforms which negate the PM Imran’s claims of austerity.
The PPP leader said that they will select candidates for by-elections with the consensus of all the sectors.
Earlier on August 28, an Important Pakistan Peoples Party meeting had decided to support its own presidential candidate Aitzaz Ahsan.
According to the details, a crucial Pakistan Peoples Party meeting was held in Islamabad. Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Co Chairman Asif Ali Zardari chaired the meeting.

According to the sources, The party members met to discuss Fazl’s request and take a final decision on a presidential candidate and decided that it would not support joint opposition candidate Moulana Fazl Rehaman and stick to its own candidate Choudhry Aitzaz Ahsan.
Former President and Co Chairman PPP said that Pakistan Peoples Party believes in politics of principals. He said that PPP is pursuing its own political agenda.
Sources said the meeting reviewed possible repercussions and political gains of supporting Fazl as consensus candidate, however, PPP members opposed Ahsan’s withdrawal from the race.Zardari said the JUI-F leader was a respected figure for them, but they had to make a “political decision”, according to sources, adding that the PPP could not compromise its principled politics.
The PPP co-chairman also apprised the attendees of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s views and that the party chairman had declared Ahsan as their final candidate.
Sources said the meeting also pondered over the future of opposition alliance after presidential election. The PPP leaders noted that the party had its own manifesto and politics and opposition parties could opt for similar stance from issues to issues.The meeting decided that the PPP would fully contest by-elections in the country, fielding candidates in every constituency.
